Antsy, left the house at 6:35, reached the 105-605 junction at 7, missed the ramp from the diamond lane which provided a stop to switch from clear to smoked goggles.  Continuing on the 605/210 the traffic was bad, almost to a stop at times, didn't get to Barstow 'til 8:50.  The Arco that was supposed to be the cheapest gas is also cash or ATM only -- no credit cards.  Since I'm putting the gas on plastic for the record, I went down the street to the Circle-K.
